A licensed nurse consultant meeting with program leaders around a table
Stage 1 of 5

Discovery

Understand the program before anyone reviews it.

Purpose

Why the Discovery stage exists

Discovery exists so the review that follows is built around your program rather than a template. It is a conversation, not an evaluation. Nothing is scored, nothing is documented as a finding, and nothing commits you to services.

What you can expect

How this stage runs

  • A conversation with one of our licensed nursing professionals, usually 30 to 45 minutes
  • Questions about enrollment, health needs, staffing and any upcoming monitoring
  • Space to describe what already concerns you, including things you would not put in writing yet
  • A recommended starting point and scope, explained in plain language
  • No cost, no pressure, and no obligation to move forward
Our role

What our nursing team does

  • Listen for the difference between the stated concern and the underlying risk
  • Map your health and safety systems as they currently run
  • Identify which service scope actually fits, including recommending a smaller scope where that is honest
  • Flag anything that sounds urgent enough to address before a formal review

What we need from you

  • Program type, number of sites and approximate enrollment
  • Known health needs among enrolled children
  • Current staffing and who holds health responsibility
  • Any recent monitoring, incident or licensing history you choose to share

What you receive

  • A written scope recommendation
  • An agreed set of review areas and priorities
  • A shared understanding of what leadership wants from the engagement
Moving forward

How this connects to the next stage

The scope agreed in Discovery becomes the review plan. Nothing is examined in the next stage that was not discussed here first.
